WRC Comeback for Colin McRae

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The Kronos Total Citroën team has announced that Colin McRae is to step into the breech for the next round of the World Rally Championship in Turkey after Sébastien Loeb broke an arm following a mountain bike accident last week.

The 1995 World Rally Champion has a simple task ahead, to try and prevent Loeb’s rivals scoring points and to try and maintain the advantage Kronos Total Citroën have in the race for the manufactures title.

The Rally of Turkey, which begins on the 12th October, will be the Scot’s first appearance in the WRC arena since Australia 2005 when he competed in the Skoda Fabia WRC.

The twenty five times WRC winner will once again be paired with his old co-driver Nicky Grist in the upcoming event and the return of the pair to the world stage will doubtless add a huge amount of interest to this years event.
