HRCR no longer involved in Winter Classic Rally

Following a decision made by event organiser Simon Rossiter, the Historic
Rally Car Register has confirmed that it no longer has any involvement in the Winter Classic Trophy being organised by Classic Rally Tours Club for February 2007.

"This is an amicable parting and we wish the event well," said an HRCR spokesman, "We have reached a natural fork in the road and we are going our separate ways." The classic rally for pre '81 cars will run from 11-16 February 2007 and the supplementary regulations have been re-issued to reflect the new situation.

The separation between the two organisations also covers the series of continental events organised by Classic Rally Tours, which will no longer have any HRCR association.
