London Masters announces Shannon Holdings as associate

The London Masters is pleased to announce Shannon Holdings as one of the associate sponsors for its inaugural rallycross competition, to be held in the heart of central London.

Shannon Holdings is a main contracting company, based predominantly in southeast England, with divisions in the rail and road haulage industries; it has steadily grown over the last number of years.

Shannon Holdings manager Ollie O'Donovan, an Irish ex-rally driver who has won numerous events in recent years, will also compete in the main Division 1 category. Ollie drove Per Eklund's Saab 9-3 Aerosport Sedan in the 2006 Rallycross Superprix at Croft Circuit, finishing fifth overall. He currently races a Tony Bardy Motorsport prepared Peugeot 306; the car has a two-litre turbocharged engine, producing in the region of 550bhp. Ollie currently lies fourth overall in the MSA British Rallycross Championship.

"Racing at London ExCel will present Shannon Holdings and rallycross with the perfect showcase event. Together with the London Motorsport Show, this will be an event that the entire motorsport community can be proud of. The location of the event will also help Rallycross expand into new areas," said Shannon Holdings manager Ollie O'Donovan.

The 2007 London Masters is organised by The London Motorsport Show in conjunction with rallycross organisers PSM Motorsport Ltd and will be a special, arena-based event held on 8/9 December at ExCeL, situated on the Royal Victoria Dock. The competition will be just one of the exciting features of the 2007 London Motorsport Show.
