Rally-Driver.com: HRCR announces Newcomers Rally Schools HRCR announces Newcomers Rally Schools ================================================================================ Elton on 27 January, 2007 12:00:00 The Historic Rally Car Register has announced dates and venues for two Newcomers Rally School in the coming weeks. The highly regarded days are aimed at anyone new to historic road rallying and provide an essential guide to the sport. The dates and venues are as follows: Saturday 24 February, near Wetherby, North Yorkshire Saturday 31 March, near Maidstone, Kent Each day has a full programme of informative talks, for both drivers and navigators, on all aspects of historic road rallying. Tuition is by experienced and successful competitors and subjects to be covered will include entering events, car eligibility and preparation, maps and navigation equipment, route instructions and regularity section timing. Attendees can put what they learn into practice on an afternoon road run, which is designed as a typical regularity section. Any individuals attending will be suitably teamed up for the trial run. The cost of the day is just £25 per person, which includes all course materials, lunch and refreshments. The days start at 9am and are usually finished by 5.30pm. For anyone looking to try an occasional single day historic rally, or planning to enter a major long distance event, the HRCR Newcomers Rally School will be invaluable.
