Places available on opening 100 Series Rally and at Rally School
The first event in the new series of 'HRCR 100 Rally Series' of daytime regularity rallies will run in Kent in Saturday 19 January and entries are still available for this straightforward event aimed at newcomers to the sport.
This sociable, low-key, 100-mile event will be open to HRCR members in any type of historic or classic car, but with preference given to cars over 25 years old. Competition licences will not be needed.
Meanwhile, places are still available for the next Newcomers' Rally School being run by the HRCR near Wetherby in Yorkshire on Saturday 26 January.
These highly regarded training days are aimed at anyone new to historic road rallying and provide an essential guide to the sport. The school includes a full programme of informative talks, for both drivers and navigators, on all aspects of historic road rallying. Tuition is by experienced and successful competitors and subjects to be covered will include entering events, car eligibility and preparation, maps and navigation equipment, route instructions and regularity section timing.
The cost of the day is just £30 per person, which includes all course materials, lunch and refreshments. The day starts at 9am and should be finished by 5.30pm.
