Thank you message from the Mid Wales Stages Rally

The organisers of the Rally Marketing Mid Wales Stages have issued a heart-felt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the Newtown and District Automobile Club rally on Sunday 21 June.
 
Following the first running of the rally under a new organising team, clerk of the course Chris Tomley has recorded his gratitude to the many volunteers who played such a key part in running both the historic and modern elements of the rally.
 
Tomley paid tribute to the organising team, the rescue crews, paramedics, stage commanders, radio crews and marshals who all played a vital role in the safe and efficient running of the rally.
 
"I'm very proud to know that we have a strong organising team," said Tomley, who also confirmed that the 2010 Mid Wales Stages will run in late June. "We hope to see everyone back in 2010 when we are already planning to run the same stages."
 
The event drew widespread praise from competitors; all of them relishing the chance to compete on some of the finest forest stages in Britain. More than 100 crews tackled classic stages in Hafren, Sweet Lamb and Myherin.
