If you’re looking to break into the world of race track or rally driving, then Race Car Live! will provide you with all you need to know about obtaining your licence and checking whether you’re at the peak of physical fitness. This fantastic motorsport event returns to Brands Hatch on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November, 2010.

If you’re destined to get behind the wheel of a rally car and you have already clocked up a few miles then why not take it one step further by booking your BARS (British Association Rally Schools) rally licence test at Race Car Live! A BARS licence is the recognised qualification for most entry-level rally series and is provided by the MSA (Motosport Association) and is essential for all those wanting to begin their rallying career. Costing £180 the test will comprise of a briefing on your first rally, safety and details of the test ahead. Following will be a written test and a 20-minute driving evaluation before a final de-brief. Rallying tuition is available on the day and can be added as an additional cost option. Race Car Live 2010If your interests are more asphalt than dirt and gravel then help is at hand in the form of an ARDS (Association of Racing Drivers Schools) test. Passing the MSA approved ARDS test will see you gain your National B racing licence and ready to take your place on the grid. Following a video and briefing you will be required to complete a two-part written assessment and a 20-minute lap session alongside a qualified instructor. This is when your competency, consistency and overall driving skills will be judged. Your admission ticket will also allow you access to the pitlane to chat to many of the motorsport series organisers, manufacturers and clubs in order to plan your next move. So you’ve passed your test but are you ready to take on a full adrenalin-fuelled motorsport season behind the wheel. Being a racing driver can be particularly physical but one way of checking your level of fitness is by paying a visit to Motor Racing Medics. Dr Mark Green and his team will be present at Race Car Lice! to provide competition licence medicals, resting ECGs for International drivers under 45 years of age and stress related ECGs for International drivers aged 45 years and above to FIA and MSA standards.

Dr Mark Green is actively involved and well known on the racing scene as a driver and as a doctor on track duty. Motor Racing Medics was set up five years ago following the demand for annual medical check-ups from fellow racing drivers. Dr Green works closely with the licencing authorities and provides a range of medical services to drivers in all classes of racing from Historic categories to modern formula racing. Motor Racing Medics offer medical examinations for MSA licences, stress electrocardiograms, cardiologist reports, blood group testing and custom earplugs.
