Half Day Rally Tuition

Fancy yourself as a rally driver, or just want to see how different the real thing is compared to the computer games? Well here’s your chance to get behind the wheel and give it a go! This action packed day is designed to show you all the thrills and spills associated with rallying and teach you how to handle and control a performance car at speed.

You'll start your day with an introductory briefing from your rallying instructor and then it's time to get behind the wheel for some practice sessions - you'll learn classic rallying techniques, such as hand brake turns and controlled opposite lock slides. Many courses have loose surface rally stages - which means much more sliding, and much more fun!

What's more, the rally cars are fitted with the latest equipment such as headphones in your helmet, so you can clearly hear what's going on from your instructor.

Days of the week vary depending on the location, typically March to November at any one of the following locations;

Leicestershire - Prestwold Hall
North Yorkshire - Cleveland
North Yorkshire - Seaton Ross

Shropshire - Whitchurch
Staffordshire - Stafford
Worcestershire - Honeybourne

The activity lasts approximately 2½ to 4 hours depending on the location and weather conditions. You need to be at least 18 years old. This rallying course isn't suitable for those with heart problems. The maximum weight is 16 stone, the maximum height is 1.93m (6ft 3) and the minimum height is 1.57m (5ft 2). You may be asked to sign a disclaimer on the day. A full valid UK or European manual driving licence is essential and must have been held for at least one year. You will need to present it on the day, photocopies will not be accepted.

Driving is on a one to one basis but the car is shared with other voucher holders on the day. You're welcome to bring a maximum two spectators over 11 years old but there may be a charge on the day. Due to the nature of this activity facilities are normally basic.
