Half Day Rally & Skid Control Tuition

Who says learning can't be fun?

Whilst a trip to a rally school is often a one-off special day out as a treat, there are many aspects of the tuition that could potentially aid your driving afterwards, and ultimately, should the situation ever occur that you get into difficulty out on the roads, some of the control and handling techniques you learned might just end up saving your life, and such is the case with the tuition offered as part of this rally and skid control experience.

The rally experience will allow you to get to grips with your very own rally car on a mile long special stage, where driving in a straight line is not allowed! The skid control course will really have you in and out of a spin. No where else can you experience front wheel and rear wheel skids, two fabulous experiences with a different twist. Learn the art of control and experience the feeling of being out of control, and learn the techniques required to bring it back from the brink!

Your experience will begin with a welcome, introduction and full safety briefing on driving techniques. Then it's onto the driving. First you will start with four exciting special stage runs with your instructor acting as your co-driver. This is followed by a short break and then another four runs with expert tuition. The rally experience will end with a final assessment and a thrilling demonstration driven by your instructor.

The second part of your experience will start with an interactive video on course familiarisation and safe driving lines. Once completed your first session in the car will be on the emergency avoidance lane where you'll gain valuable knowledge of both ABS and non-ABS techniques. This session could be a real life saver! Next it's off to the main skid area. Learn how to control a skid in both rear wheel and front wheel drive cars in a safe and fun environment. At the end you will be rewarded with an individual driving certificate.

This experience is available on weekdays throughout the year at the Fife - Knockhill track location. This experience will last approximately 4 ½ hours.

The minimum age for this experience is 17 years. You must be fit enough to drive in order to participate in this activity. A full and valid driving licence is required which you will have to produce on the day.

You're welcome to bring spectators to watch on the day and the event is dependent on appropriate weather conditions.
