The Cortina was the first truly competitive competition car Ford had made and set the framework for twenty years dominance in the rallysport arena. First launched in 1962, the car went through various developments culminating in 1500cc GT and Lotus models.

This stunning example depicts the Ford Cortina MkI of Henry Taylor as used on the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, co driven by Brian Melia. In its distinctive works red livery, the car is a real collector’s piece and measures approximately 9cm long in 1:43 scale.
