This distinctive Ford Escort MkII diecast model in white and yellow Rothmans livery depicts Bjorn Waldegard’s 1979 Acropolis winning rally car. Waldegard brought his Escort home in 1st place on the punishing gravel event in Greece ahead of Salonen and Kallstrom, who both competed in the hardy Nissan Violet finishing in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The car features working steering, suspension and wheels, and also has an opening bonnet with detailed engine bay, along with opening doors.
Made by Sun Star the car is 1:18 scale and measures approximately 23cm long, priced £51.99 at the time of publishing.
