Nissan 240 RS - Shekhar Mehta 1985 Safari Rally
Red and White (1:43 scale by Bizarre BZ338)
This highly detailed diecast model depicts the Nissan 240 RS used to compete on the 1985 Safari Rally by Shekhar Mehta and Rob Combes. Shekhar Mehta was a Kenyan Safari specialist called upon by many teams to do the business on the most gruelling of events.
Despite a driving style that raised more than a few eyebrows, especially in the corners, Mehta was incredibly quick and won no less than five World Championship events during his career.
In its distinctive Red and White works livery, the Nissan 240 RS features working wheels and is in 1:43 scale, measuring approximately 9cm long.
Made by Bizarre, the model is priced £29.35 at the time of publishing.
