It’s difficult to know where to start with this set; the three awesome Subaru Impreza rally cars, the legendary RAC Rally itself, or the three giants of modern day rallying who each took podium positions on the event – all World Rally Champions in their own right!

As one who was there on the rally, I remember it was quite an event, the culmination of a year of dogged competitiveness which saw the drivers championship come down to the last event of the year, the RAC Rally, with messrs Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz both out on full attack in a bid to lift the title.

In an unforgiving event full of twists and turns, it was McRae who finally came home in first place, with Sainz in second and Richard Burns finishing a perfect 1-2-3 for the Prodrive Subaru Rally Team.

Back then you would never have imagined just how poignant the rally, drivers title, and teaming of Colin McRae and Richard Burns would be, and this fantastic set commemorates and remembers two greats of the WRC and indeed the sport, whilst not forgetting the first evolution of the Subaru Impreza, which went on to become one of the most iconic rally cars of all time.

The cars are 1:43 scale and measure approximately 9cm long.
